Computer Basics Workshop
This workshop provides basic instruction on how to use Windows 10, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet and personal email.
I Have an Interview ... Now What? Workshop
This workshop helps you prepare for a successful interview. Learn what to expect, how to successfully answer interview questions, proper attire, what information to bring and the questions you should ask your interviewer.
Job Hunting in a Digital World
This workshop teaches you how to compete for employment in a digital job market. You will learn how to create your professional profile, utilize LinkedIn, use social media to promote your skills, retool your resume and reveal job resources.
Resume Development Class
This class teaches you the purpose of a resume and its basic parts. Individual instruction on resume creation will be offered and samples will be distributed. Computer basics is recommended (students will use Microsoft Office Word to create their resume). Students should bring resume materials such as employment and education history.
Resume Software & Resume Review
WinWay Resume software is available in the computer lab at the Kankakee Workforce Services office. Individuals can prepare a resume and receive up to five free copies a day on resume paper. The lab is open to the public. Resume review is conducted by trained staff every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. on a walk-in basis.
